The Milam Appraisal District will be performing onsite property inspections for the 2023 appraisal year. Our appraisers will always be in a vehicle clearly marked, have business cards and a state issued license that can be shown upon request, and never request access inside any building. Local law enforcement is aware of the specific appraisers in an area and the vehicles they drive. Please contact our office with any concerns or questions.

Appraiser – Level I

Job Description:

An appraiser performs basic data collection through on-site and aerial review of properties. Must be able to successfully pass appraisal classes mandated by TDLR or possess a current appraisal license. Other duties include but are not limited to: data entry, preparing and updating documents, answering phones, working with the public on appraisal related matters, and other duties as assigned. High school diploma or GED required as well as a valid Texas driver’s license, personal vehicle and verifiable vehicle insurance.
